Wild Wild Weekend

This weekend was an enventfual one for all involved. Mommy had to leave town for a few last minute wedding events. So it was up to daddy to hold down the house and maintain Ms. Avery for 3 days.

Well the weekend went well: Daddy pick avs up early from daycare friday and hauled her off the the swimming pool for a little bonding time. Satuday Eric took avery for a little more swimming. Avery decided she would like to go shopping, so they traveled up to San Marcos for a little retail therapy. They then decided that daddy would take avery on a date to their usually location (texas roadhouse). The night ended with alot of play

Mother returned home to find an exceptionally clean child, a clean house, all the laundary done, and dishwasher empty. What a treat. I think i will leave town often.

Avery's new trick

It is Eric's weekly duty to let mom sleep in on Saturday and get up with Avery. After listening to her talk with her dolls for half an hour on the monitor, I nudged him out of bed. He walked into her room finding her lying with a blanket covering her. Upon seeing daddy she jumped up, it was at this time he thought "something looks odd." He then noticed Avery had taken her diaper off and was sleeping in the nude (who knows how long). Needless to say everything in the bed was washed.

If you wondering where her pj's were: were are suffering from a 20 day streak of 100 degree weather, so we sleep in little as possible.

Off to the Doctor today!

Avery had her 18 month well child check today. Doctor said "she was the cutest little girl of the day." Avery weighed 26 pounds and has grown to 31 inches. She enjoyed the visit until the dreaded shot. Hurts mommy more than Avery! She recovered quickly, thanks to a tinkerbell sticker. She fell fast asleep before we got out of the parking lot! Seems like yesterday we were nervously awaiting her 2 week checkup. Time flies when your having fun!!
